WHOIS is a public lookup where anyone can see who owns a domain. How much is shown depends on the extension and on whether the owner is a person or a business.

Why can't I hide a .dk domain?

WHOIS privacy can't be turned on for .dk domains. Punktum dk decides for itself what is shown about .dk domains: for private owners it only shows limited details, and a business's details are public anyway, because they are in the CVR register.

Frequently asked questions

What does WHOIS show about my domain today?

For domains at Sitewig, the domain owner from the customer account is shown, and for businesses the name and address from CVR, along with a contact email. How much the registry shows publicly varies between extensions. Many registries already hide personal details about private owners.

Can I hide my details on a domain I've linked?

No, not at Sitewig. A linked domain is registered with another provider, so WHOIS privacy is handled there.

How do I protect the domain from being moved?

Turn on the transfer lock under Domain lock. See Domain lock and lock code.
