What you get
A clear choice
The banner has two options, Analytics and Marketing, and three buttons: Necessary only, Save preferences and Accept all.
Content waits for a yes
Embedded videos and tracking scripts with a consent category are only loaded once the visitor has accepted that category.
The choice can be changed
The Cookie settings button on the page opens the banner again. If a visitor withdraws a yes, the page deletes the known tracking cookies and reloads.
Asks again when the text changes
The choice is stored in the visitor's browser for up to a year. If you change the banner text, visitors are asked again.
How to get started
Find Cookie settings
Log in to the control panel, open the website in the editor, choose the Blog tab and find the Cookie settings section.
Turn the banner on
Turn on Show cookie banner.
Write text and link
Write a short consent text and add the link to your privacy policy.
Publish and test
Publish the website and open it in a private browser window. The banner should appear before any tracking is loaded.

If your website uses cookies or other tracking for analytics or marketing, visitors must say yes first. If it only uses what is strictly necessary, no consent is needed. This is not legal advice: you are responsible for your own website.
How long is the visitor's choice stored?
For up to a year in the visitor's browser. If you change the banner text, visitors are asked again.
What does the banner mean for the built-in analytics?
With the banner, a visitor is only counted in the analytics after accepting analytics.
