Manage your business email from the control panel: extra addresses without extra mailboxes, a catch-all for mistyped addresses, import of old emails and rules that sort your inbox on the server.

What you get

  • Aliases and catch-all

Get addresses like invoices@ and sales@ that land in an existing mailbox without counting as extra mailboxes. A catch-all picks up emails sent to typos and unknown addresses on your domain.

  • Bring your old emails

The import logs in to your old provider's mail server over IMAP and copies emails and folders into your Sitewig mailbox. Your old mailbox is left unchanged.

  • Rules and sender lists

Move, mark as read, delete or forward emails based on sender, recipient, subject or content. Rules run on the server, so they work on all your devices.

How to get started

  1. Open Email

Under Email in the control panel you find your mailboxes, addresses and the import.

  2. Create addresses

Add an alias, choose the mailbox it delivers to and save. You turn on a catch-all per domain by choosing a mailbox.

  3. Set up rules

In the mailbox settings you add rules, allowed and blocked senders, forwarding and auto-replies. Rules work once their status shows they are active on the mail server.

Good to know

Limits worth knowing

Aliases and catch-all only deliver to your own Sitewig mailboxes. To send mail on to another provider, use forwarding to a confirmed address. Import from Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com is not supported today, as they require a special login. A catch-all often brings more spam, so prefer aliases for the addresses you actually use.

Questions and answers

Does an alias count as a mailbox?

No. An alias has no password and cannot log in. You read and reply from the mailbox the alias delivers to.

Are my folders imported too?

Yes. The import copies the folders from your old mailbox. Run it once more a day after switching, and the latest emails come along too, without duplicates.

What is the difference between blocking and the spam filter?

A blocked sender always lands in the Junk folder. The spam filter judges each email itself, and you can turn it up or down per mailbox.

Do rules apply to emails I already have?

No, only to new emails that arrive after you save the rules.
