- Restore is the price of getting an expired domain back while the registry’s redemption period is running.
Prices include 23% VAT for private customers in Ireland. Businesses with a valid EU VAT number pay no VAT (reverse charge).

How to register a .eu domain

Search for the name
Type the name in the search field and we show you right away whether it is available as .eu.

Add the domain to your basket together with hosting or an email plan, or order the domain on its own.

Enter your details and pay
The domain is registered in your name as the registrant. Your details must be correct and kept up to date, and the whole period is paid when you order. Requirement: Only EU/EEA citizens, people resident in the EU/EEA and businesses established in the EU/EEA.
How to transfer a .eu domain to Sitewig

Unlock the domain at your current provider
Switch off the transfer lock and get the auth code (also called the EPP code).

Order the transfer at Sitewig
Choose to transfer a domain when you order, and enter the .eu domain and the auth code.

The registry completes the transfer
The transfer follows the registry’s rules, and the domain stays registered in your name.
- The transfer is free (€0).
- If you later want to move the domain away, we hand over the auth code or complete the transfer within 5 days, unless the registry’s rules prevent it.
Renewal and expiry
- The domain renews automatically for 1 year at a time unless you switch automatic renewal off.
- We send reminders about 30 and 7 days before expiry and again within 5 days after expiry if the domain has not been renewed.
- Domains are not covered by introductory offers or the 30-day guarantee.
- If the domain is not renewed, it expires and the registry’s rules on grace period, restore and deletion apply. Once the domain has been deleted, others can register it.

The lookup goes to the registry’s RDAP service via IANA or, if the registry has no RDAP there, directly to the WHOIS server whois.eu.
