Can I move my existing WordPress site to Sitewig?
Yes. Moving is free with our migration guide or help from support. You can check the site at Sitewig before you point your domain here.
Can I turn automatic updates off?
Yes. Automatic WordPress updates are included from Pro, and you decide in the control panel whether they are switched on.
What is a staging environment?
Staging is a copy of your WordPress site with its own address. You try changes on the copy, so your live site is not touched in the meantime. Staging is for WordPress sites.
What happens if the malware scan finds something?
The control panel shows how many suspicious files the scan found. Restore your website from a backup taken before the finding, then change your passwords. Malware scanning is included from Pro.
Which PHP version does my WordPress site run on?
You choose the PHP version yourself in the control panel. It applies to the whole hosting account, so all sites on it use the same version.
Does my WordPress site get SSL?
Yes. Every website gets a free Let's Encrypt certificate that renews automatically. Remember to use the https address in the WordPress settings.
