What is the difference between Essential and Unlimited?
Essential has 10 mailboxes of 10 GB each. Unlimited has unlimited mailboxes sharing 250 GB, and each mailbox can use up to 25 GB.
Can I use Outlook or my iPhone?
Yes. You can use most email apps with IMAP and SMTP, such as Outlook, Apple Mail on iPhone and the Gmail app on Android. Our help centre has step-by-step guides.
Do I need a domain to get email?
Yes, your email address uses your own domain. You can buy a new domain from us or use one you already have and point its MX records to Sitewig.
Can I move my email from another provider?
Yes. Moving is free with our migration guide or help from support. Don't cancel your old email until the move is complete and checked.
How many mailboxes do I get with a hosting plan?
Starter has 3 mailboxes of 3 GB, Pro 10 of 5 GB, Business 25 of 10 GB and Max unlimited mailboxes of 25 GB. The mailboxes share the hosting storage with your website.
What does email cost after the first months?
The first 3 months are free on both email plans. After that you pay €2.45/mo for Essential or €4.54/mo for Unlimited, 12 months at a time, and the price is the same every year.
What happens when a mailbox is full?
A full mailbox can’t receive new mail, but nothing is deleted. In Unlimited, you can give the mailbox more space from the shared storage (up to 25 GB). In Essential, you can tidy up or buy a larger mailbox.
Can I get email without a website?
Yes. Essential and Unlimited are email-only plans with no web hosting. Essential has 10 mailboxes of 10 GB each, and Unlimited gives you as many mailboxes as you like with 250 GB of shared storage.
Can I keep my domain with another provider?
Yes. You change the domain’s MX records at your current provider so your mail is delivered to Sitewig. Our guide shows you exactly what to enter. You can also move the domain to us later.
Is there a spam filter?
Yes. Every mailbox has a spam and virus filter, and you can adjust how strictly it sorts.
Can I have more addresses without more mailboxes?
Yes. With aliases, addresses like info@ and invoices@ can land in a mailbox you already have. You can also set up forwarding and auto-replies in the control panel.
Can I read my email in the browser?
Yes. Webmail brings your mail, calendar and contacts together in the browser, so you can read and write from any computer without installing anything.
