Feature

DNS management

Edit your domain's DNS records in the control panel, set up services such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 with ready-made templates, and turn on DNSSEC and secondary DNS when you need them.

Included with your domains at Sitewig at no extra costSee domains

What you get

  • All the usual records

Add, edit and delete A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV and CAA. Sitewig looks after the records your website and email use, and you can always restore the default.

  • Ready-made templates

If your domain should use another service, a template adds the right records in one go and first shows you what will be added or changed.

  • DNSSEC and secondary DNS

Sign your domain's DNS answers with DNSSEC so nobody can forge them on the way. Run your own name servers? They can fetch a copy of the zone with secondary DNS.

Ready-made templates for: Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Shopify, Resend, Mailchimp, Facebook, Google Search Console

How to get started

  1. Choose the domain

Open Domains in the control panel and choose the domain. DNS records are gathered on one page.

  2. Edit or use a template

Edit a record directly, or choose a template and review the changes before you apply them.

  3. Turn on extra security

Under DNSSEC you turn on signing. If the domain is registered with Sitewig, we send the DS record to the registry ourselves.

Good to know

When DNS is hosted with us

DNS management applies to domains that use Sitewig's name servers. If you move your domain's DNS to another provider, our zone is no longer used, and you must create all records there yourself. If we cannot send the DS record to the registry, the page shows where to add it yourself, such as Punktum dk for .dk domains.

Questions and answers

Can I create subdomains and redirects?

Yes. Under Domains you create subdomains and redirect a domain to another address.

How long does a change take?

Changes go out to our name servers quickly, but elsewhere on the internet the old value may be remembered until its TTL expires.

Can I use secondary DNS and DNSSEC together?

Yes. Your secondary servers fetch the signed records along with the rest of the zone.
