A course is a series of fixed dates that belong together – for example a yoga class over eight Tuesdays or a cooking course over three weekends. The customer signs up for the whole course at once, pays one total amount and receives one confirmation with all the dates.
Create a course
Step 1: Create an event
The course dates belong to an event. Go to Booking → Services, tap New service and choose the type Event (fixed dates). Set the maximum number of participants and the price per session.
Step 2: Tap "New course"
Under Courses, tap New course. Choose the event, give the course a name and, if you like, write a short description.
Step 3: Add the dates
Enter the first date and time. Tap Add date (+1 week) for each of the following sessions – the new date is placed one week after the previous one at the same time. You can edit each date separately.
Step 4: Set the price and save
Enter the price per participant for the whole course. If you leave the field empty, the event's price per session times the number of dates is used. Tap Save.
Once the course has enrolments, the dates can no longer be changed. You can still edit the name, description and price.
Show the courses on your website
Customers sign up in the booking section on your website.
Step 1: Add a booking section
Open the website builder and add the Online booking section to the page where the courses should appear – or choose a booking section you already have.
Step 2: Choose "Courses and events"
In the section's fields, choose Show in the section: Courses and events. To show only one course, enter the course ID in the Only one course field. You'll find the ID under the course in Booking → Services.
Step 3: Publish
Tap Publish. The section now shows your courses with dates, price per participant and places left – as well as your single events.
How customers sign up
The customer taps Sign up next to the course, enters the number of participants, their name and email, and sends the enrolment. If the event requires payment when booking, the customer is taken to the payment, and the place is only theirs once the payment is complete.
The customer receives one confirmation with all the dates and a calendar file. If you ask for reviews, it also contains a link where the customer can say yes to one email about a review after the last session.
Waitlist when the class is full
When there are no places left, it says Fully booked. If you have turned on the waitlist, the customer can join it instead – both for a course and for a single event. The customer confirms their email, and if a place becomes free, the person who has waited the longest receives an offer by email.
Under Booking → Services you can see how many are waiting for each course and each event date.
Frequently asked questions
Can a customer cancel a single date?
No. An enrolment covers the whole course. The customer can cancel the whole course until the deadline before the first date. You can always cancel an enrolment under Enrolments.
Why can't customers see my course?
Check that the course is open for sign-up, that the first date hasn't started and that the event can be booked online. Courses that have already started aren't shown.
What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
Your courses stay, but you can't create new ones, and customers can't sign up until your plan is Max or Business again.
